60 Light Years is a music group comprised of 2 musicians : Kenny Mcilvenny and Michel Roy.

These three projects came to life after a collaboration that started in the SongCrafters forum.  This collaboration created a path towards three concept albums. The first one was about an alien  invasion of the planet Starturian, the second one was the story of Detective Vincent Drake trying to resolve a murder mystery and the last one is about a world called Clarainia that was locked in a battle between light and darkness until the great angels forged the sword of light which is being sought out by a dark wizard called Zookon si. The Starturian Prophecy tells a story about a planet invasion, but in this troubled world it could be about any country and it could happen to any one of us.

Kenny  started playing guitar at 18 and pursued his musical journey with local band  "Rhythm Kick " and then "Cabin Fever" .  He has always had a passion for song writing and has also written and produced all his solo material as Kenny mac.

Michel has been playing guitar and keyboard for several years and recently was able to spend more time on song writing  and improving his production  skills. 

For both musicians these projects were a great opportunity to spread out in a different directions, while working in close "global" collaboration, since Kenny is located in Scotland and Michel in Canada.  This global collaboration was a great experience for both musicians.

 Keeping it in the SongCrafters forum family we asked the very talented  Eric Halvorsen from Florida to narrate the story with a special guest appearance from Paivi Eskola from Finland.
